Julie's Journey #13 - Organization and Productivity Tips

So I'm pretty sure everyone here has had some problems with being organized and productive. Well, this is where I come in. Today, I will help you with being more organized and productive. If these help you, comment below what my next blog post should be about because I'm running out of ideas already! Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this and look forward to more of my posts.

BULLET JOURNALING:

I know, I know. You guys are probably so tired of hearing me talk about this. However, it works way better than anyone would have ever expected. I have a friend (Blogger Name: Tall Girl Takes The World a.k.a. Dakota B.) that tried bullet journaling, and needless to say, I really like how she bullet journaled. She told me the other day that mine was better and hers was trash. I, on the other hand, responded saying that it wasn't trash! If you're reading this Dakota, then I stand by what I say for as long as I live 😊. She tried it and to me, I thought it looked really good for a beginner. I also love how she didn't get too fancy. What do I mean? Well, she used regular supplies she already had. I respect that. I only got brush pens because I wanted to learn calligraphy to go with my bullet journal. She didn't get too fancy and the results were awesome! Long-story-short; if you try to bullet journal, don't worry about getting too fancy. As long it's functional, then you got yourself a well-put-together bullet journal! (Also, if you want more info...read my last blog: CLICK ME)

TO-DO LISTS:

I am pretty sure that most of y'all have tried to-do lists to help you get stuff done throughout the day. I am also pretty sure that at least 50% (maybe?) have stopped doing them because they weren't functional. Been there, done that. Well, hopefully, this helps you out. When you want to plan out something for the day, don't put it on your phone! What you want to do is actually WRITE THEM DOWN!! Guaranteed, it will help you way better than if you just type them. If you write them down then it will stick in your brain more. Also, as you write them down, it is basically your brain saying, "Hey, if you write this down, I will help you make it a reality." (if that makes sense...). Lastly, when you are going to write down your to-do list, do it before you go to bed. When you write down your to-do list before the day gets here, then it'll stick in your brain better!

JUST A COUPLE MORE STUDYING TIPS :)
  • Don't work on a bed or couch or whatever. Anything that is just asking for sleep, avoid!
  • Take a couple breaks ever 20-40 minutes.
  • In those breaks, stretch and walk around for 2-5 minutes.
  • Grab a snack to have while studying.
  • STAY HYDRATED!!!!!
  • Don't overwork or pressure yourself.
  • Study as much as you can.
  • Pick a functional, quiet place to study.
  • Plan your time.
  • Stay motivated.
  • Ask for help if needed.
  • Don't procrastinate.

Hope this helps!
