First, the 49ers are a rushing team, the Chiefs just stopped the best running back in the league, statistically, Derrick Henry. Henry had 303 attempts for 1,540 yards, averaging 5.1 yards per carry, with 16 touchdowns, all in the regular season. No one else hit more than 1,500 rushing yards in the regular season, except Henry.

Second, Patrick Mahomes has done an excellent job leading the Chiefs back to win the game. He’s had a total of 615 passing yards, 8 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and rounded a 66% passer rating in just 2 playoff games. The Chiefs have been down significantly and somehow Mahomes brings them back.


Some people would argue, the 49ers have the best defense in the NFL. If you have a lockdown defense it’s nice, but versing such a talented offense that can do everything is very hard to stop. Defense is important, but an excellent offense there’s no stopping them.
