Imagine this-
It's a school night. You've just come back from sports practice, and you're exhausted. You decide to lay in bed and check your phone, starting at 5:45. Next thing you know, it's 9:48, you're sleepy and you've got nothing done.
That's an unfortunate reality for many of us, some more than others, and if you've ever needed a sign, this is it.
YOU NEED TO GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER! PERIOD! I'm sorry if that came off as harsh my friends, but it's true, you can't blame your less than ideal work ethic on being new to seventh grade anymore. I get it, I struggle with it a lot, but we all need to rise up folks!
Work ethic is really hard to build. Trust me, I know. We all need help, here are my tried and true tips. Remember, what works for me may not work for you, we're all very different.
- When you get homework that isn't due the next day, do it at ISTA, or home
Most of us are failing Spanish if you're not then congrats! You're responsible! If you are, then don't beat yourself up too terribly, but do your homework. Right now in Geography, homework is most of your grade. You can save two failing grades by just doing some homework!
- With studying, use this tip.
Tell yourself this, "I'm going to try this for 10 minutes." Hopefully, you'll continue on for more than ten minutes, but even if you don't, that's 10 minutes of studying that'll still help.
- Keep a clean living space
I don't want to sound like your mother, because we're friends here, but maintaining more cleanliness will definitely help you out. Even just picking your clothes off the floor into a hamper, or simply clearing off a desk. It doesn't have to be spotless, just has to make you more comfortable. And before you say it, no you are not comfortable in a mess. You're only used to it Your productivity will increase so much if you tidy up just a little.
Self-Care days aren't only for vsco girls with face masks! Self-care is doing what you love and relaxing. Usually, on Sundays, my idea of self-care is an Indian Aztec face mask, doing my hair, and blogging. For someone else, it could be a face mask, or a good book, or playing Minecraft. Take a bit of time to wind down. But the time it! Make sure it's just 2 hours Sunday night, instead of all weekend.
That's all for now, I'll definitely be getting to write more about this more because many of you are struggling. Thanks for reading :)!
