Baseball is better than football

Nobody wants to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to sit in a stadium for over three hours to barely be able to see the field. Football games can take longer than baseball games and baseball has been through multiple events in history therefore, baseball is better than football. 

First, football-only has games once a week, if their not off that week, meanwhile baseball has games almost every day of the week. “If you’re a super, hardcore sports fan, baseball is the ultimate fix. Games are played daily, and with it, no matter what day it is on the calendar during the season, you have fresh game stories to talk about the next day around the water cooler.” (10 reasons why major league baseball is better than the NFL). Instead of having to wait a week to see your favorite team play, you just have to wait until the next day. In conclusion, having your favorite team play every day is more entertaining than having to wait a whole week. 

Next, baseball has more history. “Baseball dates back to 1839 and the sport got our nation through two World Wars and the Great Depression. Babe Ruth calling his shot, Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier, Kirk Gibson, Joe Carter, Carlton Fisk, Ripken. These are moments and players that we not only remember, but they're woven into America's fabric.”(9 reasons baseball is better than football). Baseball has been around longer so more amazing heroes have had more time to do great things. Also, MLB careers last longer than NFL careers. In conclusion, baseball heroes have made a huge impact on the wonderful game. 

Finally, some people would argue baseball games take longer than football games. “Time is precious. Despite public perception, the average MLB game is around 3 hours, whereas the average NFL game lasts 3 hours and 12 minutes. Part of the reason football games last longer is because the clock stops after nearly every play. Additionally, quarter changes, halftime, and a lot of non-action items slow the average football game. Baseball, however, doesn't have a constant clock that stops and starts.”(9 reasons baseball is better than football). People think baseball takes longer because there are 9 innings. Even though every quarter in the NFL takes about fifteen minutes, not including the number of times they have to stop the clock or how long halftime is. In conclusion, the average NFL game takes longer than the average MLB game. 

Time and history are important things when you’re comparing football and baseball. Football game only happens once a week, baseball games happen multiple days a week. Baseball has more history and has more heroes that have done great things. Baseball games can take longer than football games, but that’s only if the game goes into extra innings. Although football is a great sport, baseball has many reasons why it is a better sport. There are plenty of people that would say baseball isn’t hard or baseball is boring, but if you understand it and pay attention you will have an amazing time. In conclusion, baseball is indeed better than football.
