Me Talking About JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

First, I have to say something. You may be wondering why there are now quite a few blogs that include JoJo. Well, that's because the infection has begun and shall continue to spread. Nobody is safe from the virus known as 'JoJo'. But, do not worry. It's quite an enjoyable virus. Now, onto some stuff about JoJo. I'll tell ya if there are spoilers.

The Introduction

Hello. This may be the first time you've heard about JoJo. Little do you know, it may have somehow gotten to you already. JoJo is commonly referenced online and even in popular shows and films. Now, you may be thinking, how comes I'm only now hearing about JoJo if it's so influential? Well, JoJo has been around since January 1st, 1987, but it only started getting animated in 2012. Despite this, the manga was still very popular in Japan. Because of the popularity of the series, the writer, Hirohiko Araki, still continues to write JoJo to this day, currently on the eighth part of JoJo, JoJolion.

Each part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is quite different from the others. Let me make a comparison. The fourth part of JoJo, Diamond is Unbreakable, takes place in Morioh, a small city in Japan that gets a lot of tourists over the summer. The plot of Diamond is Unbreakable is basically a murder mystery. And then there is the seventh part, Steel Ball Run, which takes place all across America. The plot of Steel Ball Run is there is a horse race going on called the Steel Ball Run. This may sound boring, but there's a twist. The race starts from San Diego and ends in New York City, which, if you are not informed, is quite a long trek.

There are currently eight parts of JoJo. These parts being Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable, Golden Wind (or Vento Aureo), Stone Ocean, Steel Ball Run, and JoJolion. As I said, each part is quite different from the each, every part having a different main protagonist and main villain, or in Steel Ball Run's case, a main protagonist and maybe a villain.

Currently, I have two favorite parts. They are both at a constant fight to win the best part awards for me but I cannot give it to either. I just think that both of the parts are so good and memorable. These parts being Golden Wind and Steel Ball Run. I like Golden Wind so much for multiple reasons. First, the characters are all so good. I can probably not tell you a single boring character, except maybe the introductory villain, Leaky Eye Luca, who has nothing special about him except his tear gland got stabbed or something and now he is constantly crying from that eye. Sure, he's not the most creative character, but I actually kinda like him. Other than him though, all of the characters have interesting motives, appearances, stands (I'll explain more on what those are later), character arcs, etcetera. There is also the main villain who some people may not like very much but personally, he's one of my favorites. This is gonna have spoilers so just skip this part until you get to the bolded text, okay? I mean, unless you don't care about spoilers, which if you want to watch the series, I don't recommend, but if you don't feel like watching it, that's fine.

The main villain of Golden Wind is a man who had an odd past. He was born in a female-only prison despite his mother already being there for a year or two. When the villain, Vinegar Doppio, was born, he was not crying. He was just blankly staring as if contemplating. Doppio was adopted by a priest and carried out his life as normal. Later in his life, Doppio meets a girl in his home town of Sardinia who he likes quite a lot. Not much is known about his relationship with her though. One day, the priest saw that there was an odd sound coming from the floor, so he decided to start digging at that area. What the priest unveiled under the floor was the mother of Vinegar Doppio, her mouth sewn shut. As the priest stared on in horror, Doppio snuck up behind the priest, holding a pickaxe high above his head, ready to strike down. That night, the village had burnt down, taking many of the citizens' lives, including Doppio's. But of course, that was not true. That was merely a clever lie told by Doppio. Doppio had apparently had Schizophrenia his entire life, specifically extremely intense multiple personality disorder. This disorder allowed Doppio to change his body from his usual self, to his much older, stronger form. This form was simply named Diavolo. Now, to get to their stands. Doppio has the weaker stand, having merely two of the abilities from Diavolo's stand. These abilities are Epitaph and the arms of King Crimson. First, I will start off with Epitaph. Epitaph is a pink head with eyes and a mouth that grows out of the forehead of Doppio whenever it is needed. This ability allows Doppio to see 10 seconds into the future, not showing exactly what will happen, but what might happen. Now, onto the arms. The arms of King Crimson are a weaker form of Diavolo's stand, but just the arms. Sure, they make Doppio stronger, but they are still just the arms. But now, onto Diavolo's stand, King Crimson. King Crimson has the ability to see its opponents next 10 seconds of movement in a world where time no longer exists. Diavolo is invulnerable to attacks in this world, but so is the opponent. Diavolo needs to position himself correctly during this time skip in order to get an attack in, but that doesn't make it any less powerful. In the series, it is shown to be able to tear right through people with ease. Anyway, I think it's time to stop talking about Doppio and Diavolo. Now...

Funny Valentine. Funny Valentine is the main villain of Steel Ball Run. Funny Valentine is a bit of an odd villain because his actions aren't really those of evil, but patriotism. That may sound a bit odd, but that's because you don't have any context on who he is. Funny Valentine is the 23rd president of the United States. Yup, you read that correctly, the main villain is the president. What is the most interesting part about his character is probably his motives. The only reason that he is the main villain is because the main character, Johnny Joestar, is quite selfish. What Johnny wants to do is just to be able to walk again. What Funny Valentine wants to do is make America much stronger. You may be asking, what do they both want. Well, here's where it gets a bit more odd. They are fighting over the mummified remains of, what they refer to as, the Saint. You may be asking who the Saint is. Well, the Saint is Jesus. Yes, you read that correctly as well. Steel Ball Run is about a paraplegic cowboy and an Italian cowboy trying to collect the mummified remains of Jesus before the president of the United States does. But, there are also some things that make Funny Valentine a bad person. These things are murder, stealing, kidnapping, and other not very legal things. Sure, you could say he does these all in the name of America, but some of the stuff really doesn't make it seem likes he's exactly that good of a person.

The End I Suppose

I'm not too sure exactly what else to write about. In the future, I will probably write more about JoJo, specifically maybe the stands and characters. Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Goodbye.
