Limit Your Kid's Screen Time

Limit Your Kids Screen Time
I feel like I haven't seen my kid in weeks ever since I got him a tablet. He's been eating all the snacks lately. He's a prisoner to his phone, trapped and can't get out. He doesn't even come out for dinner anymore! I need to do something and I need to do it quick. I got it! ill limit his screen time. We should be limiting our kids screen time because it can cause many health problems and for them to be anti-social.
First, Yes parents should have limited time on their screens kid’s are known to have obesity if they have too much screen time. The article says,” We think that being in front of a screen, kid’s start snacking.” this is bad for kids because if 50% of kids aren’t limited to screen time about 50% of our kid’s population will be obese.
Next, kids should have limited screen time because there are a bunch of health problems to come with it if you don’t. Ashley Welch says, “While there is no long term evidence yet to link screen time to an increased risk of health conditions like Cardiovascular disease and High Cholesterol.” This is bad because we do not want kids to have do go through all these health problems
Some say some apps on iPads or other electronics can be educational to young children. The article says,” They found out that kid’s exposure to educational media educational programs such as Sesame Street or an online math game, for example, happens much less frequently as children get older, even as kid’s increase their screen time.” this can be beneficial for kid’s they can learn shapes, colors, etc from these games.
We should limit our kid's screen time because it is bad for them. It can lead to many health risks and for them to be anti-social. Spread the word and love your children.

  1. Put it in the kid's point of view, would you want your parents taking your phone once you've hit two hours? I think it be a moderation situation, as in for every hour of cellphone usage, 20 minutes of work outs, or reading should be implemented. As a child grows older, it should be their choice, and they should suffer the consequence.

    1. I agree with some parts, but the parents of that child is supposed to look after them and make them into the people they want them to be. Kids at around 18 are considered adults. Below 18, parents are still in charge of their kid so technically they can do whatever they feel is right for their child. Just a thought...
