Why bringing pets to school is a good idea

Helping to take care of a pet gives a child a sense of pride and accomplishment, especially if the animal is able to return the affection. Dogs should be allowed in all schools for many reasons because they can help kids with anxiety, therapy dogs should be very much welcome in schools as well. They would help relieve a lot of stress, especially with tests. Pets also build self-esteem, ease social isolation, help kids learn social skills, and help young readers gain confidence.

But what if the animal pees or poops in the school. The animals that are brought in the school are trained to hold their bladder until the bell rings and then you take your animal outside to go to the bathroom. But what if a kid is allergic to the animal, if a kid has an allergy to the animal then we will change the schedule so the child will not come in contact with the animal.

Having a class pet provides kids with hands-on learning. Their care and upkeep are tangible ways to teach kids about responsibility and compassion. And the animals teach the kids about respect for other living things. Letting dogs into the classroom is a trend across the country. Research shows that therapy dogs provide good benefits for the children, according to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, dogs have been called miracle workers because of their calming effect on the people in the school. Therapy dogs help with everything from trauma to reading interventions to a positive school. In addition, they also have benefits for autistic kids.

Therapy dogs provide comfort and support to people and are trained to use their social instincts and learned social skills to provide health, social-emotional benefits. Having dogs in the classroom gives the kids emotional and health benefits for the kids. According to one study published by the National Institutes of Health, having a dog in the room creates a positive mood and helps with anti-stress effects on the body. In fact, just petting a dog has the effect of lowering blood pressure and heart rate.

Being with Therapy dogs calms kids down when they're upset and helps keep their anxiety. And reduces feelings of anxiety and depression. The greatest benefit of therapy dogs in the room is loving and lovable dogs are friendly companions and good listeners who don't make any judgments. Children bond easily with dogs, helping them feel more connected. This leads to a reduction in negative behavior.

In conclusion, I think that introducing your class to a dog may be one of the most memorable experiences of your student's school years.

  1. I think you could persuade someone with this article. Maybe some links to websites more. I believe we should be able to but only if you have a note or have bad anxiety and the doctor said it might be a good idea
