How I Celebrate Christmas in Pennsylvania
Every other year I celebrate Christmas with my family here in PA, on the other years, I celebrate with my mom, who used to live in Wisconsin but moved to Texas over summer. When I celebrate Christmas in PA the first thing my family and I do is wake up really really early (5:30) to make a big breakfast. Then, at around 8-9:30ish after we're done eating, the rest of my family will come over. Once everyone is over, we open presents and reminisce of the past Christmases. When we are done opening presents we usually clean up and make lunch, if there is snow outside we usually will go outside with my dog and make snowmen. Then, we'll watch the Hallmark channel and chill. Finally, at around 7:30pm we start making dinner, which takes 2-2 1/2 hours.
How I Celebrate Christmas in Wisconsin
Over the summer my mom moved from Wisconsin to Texas, so this year will be my first Christmas in Texas. So I'm just going to tell you guys and girls how I celebrated Christmas in Wisconsin. The first thing my family and I would do is wake up at around 8:30 to open presents, my sister and I go back and forth. Once we are done opening presents, we make pancakes or french toast. When we were done eating my stepdad's family would come over for a few hours to see what we got and to give us our gifts from them. When they leave we usually just watch Christmas movies and cuddle up by the fireplace. Then, at 6ish my mom's family comes over to help my mom and stepdad make dinner and to give us our gifts from them. When we finish eating dinner we play card games, board games and stay up all night. Finally, at around 12- 1:30am they leave and come back in the morning. I wish I could spend every holiday and the school year with my mom, but it's okay.
