Bicycles have been around since 1817, as cars have been around since 1885. Karl Von Drais was the first person to make the bicycle. Karl Benz was the first person to make a car. And since those times, bikes and cars have begun to become more modern. Cars and bikes also used to be cheap. Now, a new car that is nice is around $30,000. And a new mountain bike that is nice is around $500. See the difference? Bikes are also WAY more efficient in cities. You don't have to deal with traffic, you can use the bike lane and get exercise. In my opinion, (even though I can't drive) bikes are better because you can have fun while exercising and go where cars can't go. bikes are also environmentally friendly, rather than cars. Sadly, only 4% of Americans bike to work, which means 96% of Americans are killing the environment. But I think that in the future bike will become more and more popular.
