Hi, this week I will be writing about why or why not I think they should clip mastiffs ears when they are firstborn. When Cane Corsos are born a majority of them have their ears clipped. They clip the ears for the Cane Corsos that are work dogs. Their owners do not want their ears getting caught on equipment. They also clip them to reduce the chance of them having health problems with their ears.

One more reason (which I think is stupid) is they clip their ears to make them look more intimidating and scary. Personally, I do not think their owners should clip their ears because I just think it's wrong. Puppies from 6-12 weeks old have to get their ears chopped off with scissors and wear big bandages for weeks, that's unnecessary. It causes unnecessary physical pain and discomfort. Sometimes ear clipping is not always successful and you could ruin the puppy's ear if you do not do it properly. Now I hope I have convinced you not to clip their ears and thank you for reading my blog, bye. :)
